Purbasha Mazumdar has received the Swiss Excellence Scholarship and is a research fellow at the ISEK - Social and Cultural Anthropology for the academic year September 2017- August 2018. Her primary interests reside in the Anthropology of Science and Modernity and she is currently pursuing her doctoral research at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. She hopes to accomplish part of her mutli-sited fieldwork in Switzerland to feed into her thesis which primarily deals with trying to understand the global circulations of the discourses and practices of bioterrorism and biosecurity.
