In this monthly reading group, we explore different dimensions of and perspectives on queer anthropology. Our selection of texts pursues two strategies: (1) to read across different disciplinary and theoretical contexts (queer and gender studies, feminisms, intersectionality/critical race theory) and bring these into conversation with ethnographic texts; (2) to explore a sense of diachronic reading by discussing current debates and issues in relation with “classics” and “older” theoretical and political concerns.
