Structure of the Master's programme in Social and Cultural Anthropology – Minor 30 as of fall semester 2024

The Master's degree programme includes in-depth modules on theories and topics of anthropology. You can supplement these with modules on methods, regions, research-related modules, reading courses and a lecture series. You can complete the Master's programme in four semesters.

You will find an overview of the modules that are part of the programme ‘Minor 30’ in the list below.

Students who started studying Social Anthropology before autumn semester 2019 have been transferred to the successor programmes. Special regulations apply to them, see "Bologna 2020: Information on the transition".

"Bologna 2020": Information on the transition

As of autumn semester 2019, a new study order ("Bologna 2020") came into force at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Students who started studying Social Anthropology before autumn semester 2019 were transferred to successor programmes. Special transition regulations have been drawn up so that all previously acquired achievements can be credited during the transition. In the following cases, you will continue your studies according to the transition regulations:
