Zhanat M. Doskhozhina, PhD, is an associate professor at International Information Technology University (Almaty, Kazakhstan). She is the author of scientific publications, teaching manuals and monograph dedicated to research of modern cultural problems. Zhanat M. Doskhozhina was interning at Columbia University (New York, USA) in 2013-2014 and at University of Ottawa in 2018. She successfully completed the Professional Development Program for Higher Education Leaders of Kazakhstan by Nazarbayev University (2016), in the framework of which she upgraded her professional competence at The University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is a winner of the International Scholarship “Bolashaq” and a creator of multimedia interactive course “A Practical Guide to Cultural Studies”. Her spheres of scientific interests cover such areas as communication theories, mass culture, intercultural communication, and digital media.

She is a Visiting Scholar at the ISEK-Social Anthropology from September 1, 2024 to August 1, 2025.
