Phan Quang Anh is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow sponsored by the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship (ESKAS) at Department of Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies, University of Zurich. He received his PhD in Communications and New Media funded by the NUS Research Scholarship from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2019. He obtained his Master degree in Cultural and Critical Studies from University of Westminster (WMIN), United Kingdom in 2013, supported by the Westminster International Scholarship. His Bachelor of Arts with Honours was conferred by the Vietnam National University in Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi) in 2011. His main research interests include Game Studies, Media Studies, and Southeast Asian Studies with a particular focus on Vietnam. His publications could be found in Creative Industries Journal, International Journal of Asia-Pacific Studies, Asia-Pacific Social Science Review, among others. At ISEK, his project would touch upon the black and grey markets of video games in Vietnam after the Reform in 1986.
