Short biography

Wahyu Kuncoro received a Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship (ESKAS) for a PhD program under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Annuska Derks at the Department of Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies, University of Zurich, beginning in 2018. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from Gadjah Mada University (Indonesia) and his Master’s degree in Development Studies from Chiang Mai University (Thailand). He was granted a student fellowship by the Asia Research Institute (ARI), National University of Singapore (NUS), in 2013, and in the year 2017 he was awarded an Erasmus+ scholarship for the Student Mobility program by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Radboud University, in the Netherlands.
